Privacy Policy

This policy says what information WinTars handles, what we do with it, and what you can ask us to change. We keep it short on purpose: we collect what the tool needs to work and nothing more.

Last updated: October 28, 2026

1What we collect

  • Account details. Your email address, and the name or position you choose to give us when you join a company map.
  • Work you create. The companies, objectives, indicators, targets, results, owner and reporting assignments you and your team enter.
  • Messages you send. Anything you submit through the contact, referral or question forms, including the email addresses you type in them.
  • Preferences on your device. Your chosen language, your map layout and the moving-light setting, and the sign-in session your browser keeps.
  • Basic usage counts. Anonymous totals such as page views, referring site and device type, used to understand how the site is used.

2Why we collect it

To run the service: to show you your maps, let your team work on the same map, keep your language and layout choices, answer the messages you send, and improve the tool. We do not use your strategy content to market anything else to you, and we do not sell your personal information.

3Who can see a map

Each map is either Private or Public. A private map is visible only to the people you add and to the roles you give them. A public map can be read by anyone who has the link, so treat the objectives and figures on a public map as information you are willing to show. Sample maps published by us contain made-up figures and are used to demonstrate the format.

4Services that help us run the site

A few outside services take part in delivering the site: hosting and the database that store your account and maps, the sign-in provider, email delivery for messages you send, usage analytics that count visits, and the automatic translation used when you pick a language. Each of them processes some data on our behalf, and each has its own privacy terms. Anonymous visits cannot be matched to a named person or a company, and we do not add tracking that identifies visitors to us.

5How long we keep it

We keep your account and your maps while your account is active, and for a short time afterwards if you ask us to restore something. Messages are kept while we are answering them and for follow-up. Deleted maps are removed from the working site; a small record of the deletion is kept so an old browser copy cannot bring the map back.

6Your choices

You can export a map to continue in your own tools, delete a map, remove someone's access, or change who is listed as an owner or in a reporting line at any time. You can also ask us to correct or delete your personal information and your account. Write to contact@wintars.com from the address on the account and tell us what you want; we will confirm what we removed.

7How we protect it

Access is checked on the server against the role each person holds on each map, so a browser cannot grant itself rights it was not given, and privileged actions such as approving a target or handing over a departed colleague's work go through protected steps. No method of storage or transmission is fully secure, so we also ask you to keep your sign-in details to yourself and to remove access when someone leaves.

8If something looks wrong

If you find a privacy or security problem, or you simply want to know what we hold about you, write to contact@wintars.com. We respond as soon as we can, and we will tell you what we found and what we did about it.

9Children and changes

WinTars is a business tool and is not aimed at children under 16; we do not knowingly collect their information. If we change this policy, we update the date above and, for material changes, tell account holders.
